G2F MEDIA READY FOR ITS EIGHTH ISDE
Regarded as the Olympics of motorcycle sport the FIM International Six Days Enduro remains the oldest event in the intentional calendar with the winery second edition due to take place later this month.
For the eighth successive year G2F Media is both proud and delighted to have been awarded the contract to provide the official media services for this highly prestigious global competition.
Here is an overview of what lays ahead.
After a sixteen-year absence, the FIM International Six Days Enduro returns to Brive-la-Gaillarde in France for the ninety-second edition of the event.
Ready to welcome the five-hundred plus competitors from over thirty-five different nations, Brive is no stranger to hosting world-class enduro competition having last staged the ISDE in 2001.
Over six days of close racing, Brive treated the large contingent of riders to some truly classic and traditional French enduro terrain.
In what proved to be a battle for the ages, over eighteen thousand spectators witnessed a home win as France claimed victory in the FIM World Trophy team classification.
Spurred on by a rally of support from their home crowd, the six riders of Marc Germain, Olivier Rebufie, Eric Bernard, David Fretigne, Sébastien Guillaume and Cyril Esquirol received a hero’s welcome on the winner’s podium as they received the most prestigious trophy in enduro.
While France stole the show back in 2001, it was Italy who claimed top honours in the FIM Junior World Trophy team category thanks to the efforts of Simone Albergoni, Ivan Boano, Paolo Carrara and Giovanni Gritti.
With the stage almost set for the 2017 running of the ISDE (August 28-September 2) France are hoping history will repeat itself once again.
